PD session in Seenu Atoll School

On 27th February Seenu Atoll School conducted a PD session on Assessment and Evaluation which was facilitated by Ahmed Ali, and Ibrahim Nadheem. All the teachers and leading teachers attended the session.

Irushadhiyya School - First PD

Irushadhiyya School held their first Professional Development Programme for this year on 27^th January 2011. The Programme was based on types of analysis of teaching. The sessions were facilitated by the School Principal, Mr Mohamed Nasir, Mr Ajith Kumar(Maths HoD), Mrs Gloria Paul (Eng HoD), Mr Yesudasan Xavier ( Commerce HoD) and Junaina Ismail (PD Coordinator).

A session on Differentiated Instruction

Feydhoo School had a 2 hour PD session on 27th January 2011. The session was on differentiated instruction which was based on the need analysis of the teachers.It was facilitated by the school principal Mr.Ahmed Ali. Teachers who have requested this topic attended the session. It was arranged by the school PD coordinator, Sheenaz.

A school self Assessment was done in shamsudheen School

A School Self Assessment was done by Shamsudheen School on 28th January 2011. This was part of their Professional development. Teaching and Learning dimension from the Barabaru School Indicator was taken to assess. Teachers were very cooperative and worked as a team in this activity.

Parents, students and other stakeholders were interviewed on certain aspects of teaching and learning to find out where the school stands in this dimension. Finally a school improvement plan was done based on the findings. All the staff participated in this workshop which continued for 10 hrs. The sessions were facilitated by S.TRC coordinator Aishath Shibana. It was organized by the PD coordinator Mariyam Zameera.

First PD in HAS

Hafiz Ahmed School has conducted their first Professional Development Program on 3rd February 2011.
The workshop was organized to introduce National Curriculum Frame work. 47 teachers from Hafiz Ahmed School participated in this workshop. The sessions were facilitated by Mr Abdullah Rasheed.
The workshop was organized by PD coordinator Enas Ali.
